One of my favorite parts of 2025 was escaping into stories that pulled me in, challenged my thinking, and gave my mind a place to rest. Reading became both an adventure and a kind of therapy — helping me process, imagine, and breathe in the middle of a full, growing year.

Here are the books and series that truly stood out for me:

The Maidens – Alex Michaelides: Dark, atmospheric, and layered. This one stayed with me long after the last page. It explores obsession, grief, and identity in a way that feels haunting but beautifully written.

The Silent Patient – Alex Michaelides: A psychological thriller that lives rent-free in my head. The silence, the tension, the twist — it reminded me how powerful storytelling can be when what’s unsaid speaks the loudest.

Never Lie – Freida McFadden: Fast-paced and impossible to put down. This was a true “just one more chapter” book that kept surprising me until the very end.

The Crash – Freida McFadden: This one had my heart racing. It explores how quickly life can change and how fragile our sense of safety really is — a reminder of how resilient we become when we have no other choice.

None of This Is True – Lisa JewellChilling, clever, and unsettling in the best way. It made me reflect deeply on identity, storytelling, and how perception can blur the line between truth and illusion.

Fourth Wing Series – Rebecca Yarros: A total departure from my usual thrillers — and I loved it. Dragons, power, vulnerability, and fierce courage wrapped in one epic fantasy world. It reminded me how strong and tender a story can be at the same time.

The Housemaid Series – Freida McFadden: Twisty, addictive, and wildly entertaining. These books kept me hooked and guessing, proving that sometimes reading is just meant to be fun and thrilling.

Looking back, it’s no surprise that psychological thrillers and immersive worlds defined my reading year. There’s something deeply meaningful about uncovering hidden truths in stories while walking through a season of healing, unmasking, and authoring my own story.

Here’s to more books, more growth, and more beautiful stories waiting in 2026!!
